2012 Resolutions
2012 is going to be my first full year as a full-time business owner. So with that comes huge responsibility and a need to refresh my lifestyle. What’s a better way to do that then a list of cliche resolutions?
Without further ado, here is what I hope to accomplish in 2012 (in no particular order):
Run at least one mile and do 200 pushups daily.
Eat Organic foods for all meals.
Eat out...

iA Writer - Write with Focus →
I just recently got back into blogging. Before, I would lean on the WYSIWYG’s or TinyMCE’s that blogging platforms like Wordpress and Tumblr provide. Occasionally, if I wanted to be overwhelmed, I would write in Microsoft Word for its editing features.
Then I had an epiphany. Writing is distracting. As you write, you are thinking; as you are thinking, you have things happening...

Mission Impossible 4: Ghost Protocol →
I was able to see this movie last night, and I must say - it was pretty awesome. Tom Cruise looks old, but like other badass actors (Bruce Willis, Denzel Washington, Daniel Craig, Liam Neeson) he is getting better with age.
Some might say this movie is a paid advertisement for the city of Dubai and the new eco-friendly BMW i-Series, but outside of the obviously apparent ad placements, the movie...

Facebook to Show Ads in News Feed →
From Mashable:
…it seems as though the company, which is planning a $100 billion IPO next year, is satisfied with Sponsored Stories as an advertising solution and thus a primary method to monetize the 800 million-strong social network.
This is a move that is going to have the backlash from users we expect from Facebook changes. Ads already cover a large portion of the current Facebook...

Reviews →
I use A LOT of gadgets. I read A LOT of blogs, news sources, etc. I like to think I am very well caught up in the tech world and want to share my point of view and opinions with you.
Starting today, and moving forward, I will be doing a review on apps, gadgets, sources, and other tech-related items that I use daily and love, and those that you should avoid.
First up today was my brief thought on...

New beginnings with Zer0day
As of yesterday, I now officially live in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. I quit my stable government job in D.C. to follow my dream of running Zer0day full-time. This is one of the biggest life leaps I have taken thus far, and I am hoping that the outcome will be rewarding and full of awesome experiences.
Although I have a lot left to discover, I recommend to anyone wanting to make a change to go...

The threat to Facebook is that power users have gone to Twitter or Google+.
– - Sean Parker, at yesterday’s Web 2.0 Summit
The truth is, aside from Google+ (in my immediate group of online connections) people are leaving moving away from Facebook for other outlets like Twitter because the connections are easier. Facebook is getting harder and harder to share easily....

– With the surge of interest in zer0day, I am halting production on my personal site to take care of more pressing business. Therefore, I will start focusing more on blogging about my life managing a small business and the adventures it takes me on and less on my personal triumphs.

Steve Jobs, thank you.
Sad, sad day yesterday. The death of an influential mind in our generation with the passing of Steve Jobs. Our lives wouldn’t have been the same without him; he will however live on every time we walk down the street wearing our noticeably-white ear buds, when we are feeling down and FaceTime our friends who live across the country, or when we use our Mac’s to create beautiful...

– Google updated it’s iOS app recently. I am still not convinced about the future of G+ - however, with the recent changes to Facebook (and their vision to change how we view privacy) I feel G+ will see a push in it’s user base over the next few months as skeptical Facebook users jump...

The end before the begin of Countdwn.me
As some of you may know, I was working with Andy on a project called Countdwn.me which was meant to be a web app that would help create elegant countdowns for an event, party, date in time, etc.
The idea spawned from a countdown I threw together that you can read about here. It is pretty cool and I am still proud of it to this day.
However, the dream of launching this service has fizzled....

Zer0day is now an official LLC
Pretty big day for us. As of last night my little web design company had it’s LLC papers finalized and completed by the state of VA. Although we are still young and still scoping our business strategy, we are excited that this first big milestone is in the books.
What is Zer0day?
Simple enough, it is a group of guys focused on web innovation/development and new-age, modern web design...
