HTML5 and CSS3.
These are the best things ever to happen to web design since the discovery of “noise”. Don’t know JavaScript that well? With the new techniques and tricks included between HTML5 and CSS3, you don’t necessarily need to know it! Plus there are a ton of other things these two do that will make life that much easier.
